Generalities

  • This document has the nature of a contract.
  • The client accepts the present terms and conditions when making the purchase of the ‘Imachupicchu’ tourist service.
  • No other agent other than ‘Imachupicchu’ can modify, restrict or extend the terms and conditions of this document.

Actors

  • ‘Imachupicchu’ is a virtual brand of the company IMACHUPICCHU EIRL, a travel and tourism operator and agency authorized by the Ministry of Culture of Peru with code 20601151457.
  • The ‘Client’ is a natural or legal person who accepts the terms and conditions when purchasing one of the ‘Imachupicchu’ tourist services.

Service conditions

  • The web portal of ‘Imachupicchu’ (imachupicchu.com) allows the virtual acquisition of different tourist services in Cusco and Machu Picchu: entrance to Machu Picchu, train ticket, bus ticket, tour guide service in Machu Picchu, 1-day tour to Machu Picchu and private transportation service throughout Cusco.
  • In addition, ‘Imachupicchu’ allows you to take the main tours of Cusco: the Sacred Valley tour, the City Tour Cusco, the 7 Colors Mountain tour, the Humantay Lagoon tour and more.
  • ‘Imachupicchu’ will use its best efforts to keep you informed and meet the Client’s requirements as safely and efficiently as possible.
  • The virtual platform of ‘Imachupicchu’ provides various means of contact to maintain adequate communication with the Client.

About the Machu Picchu ticket purchase process

  • The Client can make use of the virtual platform of ‘Imachupicchu’ from anywhere in the world to make the reservation of our services via internet.
  • To make purchases in ‘Imachupicchu’ it is imperative that the Client manages an email, to which the reservation format, payment invoice, and entrance tickets to Machu Picchu will arrive in digital format. Email is the main means of clarifying queries and resolving any conflict that may arise.
  • To carry out the purchase process of the Machu Picchu ticket, the Client must verify on our website the availability of quotas for the date that they wish to enter the city of Machu Picchu. Once the availability has been verified, the reservation form is filled out, this allows the reservation of up to 10 users. If there are more users, more than one form must be filled out. When filling out the form, one of the types of ticket will be chosen.   • Once the reservation is sent, the payment is made through one of the payment methods. The entry ticket in digital format will be sent to the Client to the email address provided. Thus ending the purchase process.
  • The Client to enter the Inca city of Machu Picchu must only print the entrance ticket and present it together with his identification document at the access door.

About the train ticket purchase process

  • Train tickets are personal and non-transferable.
  • ‘Imachupicchu’ is a travel agency and tour operator intermediary between the Client and Peru Rail, a company that offers the train trip from Cusco.
  • In case the Client does not use his train ticket for the chosen date and time, the value of the purchased ticket will be lost without the right to a refund.
  • Cancellations or changes to train schedules due to demonstrations or bad weather are the sole responsibility of the Peru Rail or Inca Rail companies. ‘Imachupicchu’ is not responsible for these cases.
  • To proceed with the purchase of train tickets through ‘Imachupicchu’, the Client must complete the information requested in our ‘Train reservation form’ on our website.
  • The information requested is exclusively for the purchase of train tickets and is: names, surnames, age, country, document and document number.
  • The Client must choose one of our payment methods. Only when the payment of the value of the train ticket is made, will the train tickets be purchased.
  • The Client must only print their tickets and show them on the day of their trip together with the identity document with which they managed the reservation.

About the bus ticket purchase process

  • ‘Imachupicchu’ is an intermediary agent between the Client and Consettur Machu Picchu, a company that covers the route Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Aguas Calientes.
  • The Client can use the bus ticket to Machu Picchu for 3 days from the day set for the trip. Otherwise, the bus ticket will lose its value without the right to a refund.
  • Problems with departures or cancellations of bus departures are the sole responsibility of the company Consettur.
  • To proceed with the purchase of bus tickets through ‘Imachupicchu’; The Client must complete the information requested in our ‘Bus reservation form’ on our website.
  • The data required is exclusively for the purchase of bus tickets and is: names, surnames, age, country, document and document number.
  • The client must choose one of our payment methods to make the purchase. Only when the payment of the value of the bus ticket is made, will the bus tickets to Machu Picchu be purchased.
  • The Client must only print their tickets and show them on the day of their trip together with the identity document with which they made the reservation.

  • ‘Imachupicchu’ is a travel agency and tour operator that offers tour guide services in Machu Picchu.
  • During the reservation of the tour guide service, it is necessary to complete the following information: full names of each visitor, identity document, nationality, language required for the service, day and time of entry to Machu Picchu, time of the train ticket and hotel in Aguas Calientes (if you spend the night in the town).
  • It is important that the tourist communicate in a timely manner about any change in the hotel or train service to info@imachupicchu.com.
  • The data required is used exclusively to offer the tour guide service in Machu Picchu.
  • The Client must appear at the door of the Aguas Calientes train station at the agreed time to receive the tour guide service. Otherwise, it will be reported as ‘No Show’ and the Client will not be able to claim their money back.

  • ‘Imachupicchu’ is a travel agency and tour operator that offers different tours including the 1-day tour to Machu Picchu.
  • ‘Imachupicchu’ is not responsible for natural disasters, strikes or any unforeseen event that prevents the normal development of the tour.
  • ‘Imachupicchu’ is not responsible for accidents, material damage, loss of belongings, or any unforeseen event caused by third parties other than our staff.
  • The 1-day Machu Picchu tour is only carried out for the date agreed in advance and prior cancellation of 100% of the value of the tour.
  • Payment for the tour is made via our website through the different payment methods available: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club or PayPal.
  • ‘Imachupicchu’ reserves the right to cancel or modify a tour for reasons that may compromise the security or physical integrity of the Client.
  • During the reservation of the tour it is necessary to complete the following information: full names of each visitor, identity document, nationality, language required for the service, name of the hotel in Cusco.
  • It is important that the tourist communicates in a timely manner about any last-minute changes to their hotel to info@imachupicchu.com.
  • The data required is used exclusively to offer the chosen tour.
  • One night before the tour, an agent will appear in the lobby of the Client’s hotel to agree on the starting point and everything related to the agenda of the requested tour.
  • On the day of the tour, the Client must only show up at the agreed place and time for the start of the service. ‘Imachupicchu’ is not responsible for cases of lateness or absence of the Client on the day of the tour.

About the process of purchasing the private transportation service around Cusco

  • ‘Imachupicchu’ is a travel agency and tour operator that offers private transportation services to the different tourist destinations in Cusco as well as transfers from the airport and to the train stations to Machu Picchu.
  • The data required for the reservation are: name of the tourist, number of companions, identity document, telephone number, chosen tour, date of travel and pick-up hotel in Cusco.

About the changes and modifications of the train ticket

  • ‘Imachupicchu’ only makes changes and modifications to train tickets purchased through our platform.
  • The possible changes are: names, document number, travel date, travel schedule and type of service (adding the corresponding remaining amount).
  • ‘Imachupicchu’ only makes date changes (according to availability) within a period of no less than 3 business days before the travel date.
  • Changes proceed at the request of the client by sending an email to info@imachupicchu.com.
  • To make the changes and modifications, the tourist must send a copy or digital image of their passport or identity document.
  • The change of date is subject to a single penalty:
    • Penalty of 35%, if the request is submitted 3 – 5 days before the travel date.
    • Penalty of 30%, if the request is submitted 6 – 10 days before the travel date.
    • Penalty of 20%, if the request is submitted 11 or more days before the travel date.

About the bus ticket changes and modifications

  • ‘Imachupicchu’ only makes changes and modifications to bus tickets purchased through our platform.
  • Possible changes are: passenger names, identity document and travel date.
  • ‘Imachupicchu’ only makes some type of modification within a period of not less than 3 business days before the date of your trip.
  • The changes proceed at the request of the Client through a request through an email to info@imachupicchu.com.
  • Changes are subject to the following penalty:
    • Penalty of 25%, if the request is submitted 3 – 5 days before the travel date.
    • Penalty of 20%, if the request is submitted 6 – 10 days before the travel date.
    • Penalty of 15%, if the request is submitted 11 or more days before the travel date.

About the tour guide service changes and modifications

  • ‘Imachupicchu’ only makes changes and modifications to the tour guide services purchased through our website.

  • ‘Imachupicchu’ only makes any type of modification within a period of no less than 3 business days before the date of your trip.

  • Changes are subject to the following availability:
    • 3 – 5 days before the date of service: 25% penalty on the initial payment amount.
    • 6 days or more before the date of service: no penalty.

About the changes and modifications to the private transportation service in Cusco

  • ‘Imachupicchu’ only makes changes and modifications to the private transport services purchased through our website.
  • The possible changes of this service are: the names of the passengers, the type of service, the date of the trip or the pick-up place.
  • ‘Imachupicchu’ only makes any type of modification within a period of no less than 3 days (72 business hours) before the date of your trip.
  • The modifications proceed at the request of the Client through a request through an email to info@imachupicchu.com.
  • Changes are subject to the following penalty:
    • 3 – 5 days before the start date of the service: 25% penalty on the initial payment amount.
    • 6 days or more before the start date of the service: there is no penalty.

About the changes and modifications of our Cusco tours

  • ‘Imachupicchu’ only makes changes and modifications to the tours purchased through our website.
  • The Client can only make the following changes in the tours: change of names, passport number and date of visit.

  • Changes and modifications have the following penalty:
    • 3 – 5 days before the tour start date: 35% penalty on the payment amount.
    • 5 days or more: no penalty.

About the Machu Picchu ticket cancellations and refunds

  • ‘Imachupicchu’ will only make cancellations and refunds of tickets purchased on our platform.
  • The cancellation is a benefit for the tourist since no other entity that sells tickets to Machu Picchu allows this type of procedure.
  • Ticket cancellations are requested at least 3 days before the date of entry to Machu Picchu recorded on the ticket. Last minute cancellations are not accepted.
  • The cancellation proceeds only at the request of the Client and in writing by email. The Client must pay a penalty for it. The cancellation distribution is as follows:
    • Refund to the client: 30% of the value paid.
    • Penalty: 70% of the amount paid.
  • Tourists who have made the payment and request reimbursement in a short time (before the actual purchase of their ticket), receive 100% of the value paid (less the shipping commission).
  • If the respective payment of the reservation has been made and there is no availability of income for the requested date, 100% of the value paid will also be refunded (less the shipping commission).
  • The refund of the cancellation will be made within a maximum period of up to 48 hours before the date of entry to Machu Picchu recorded on the ticket. The refund will be made using the same payment method that the visitor used for payment.
  • Cancellations of previously modified tickets are not accepted.
  • ‘Imachupicchu’ does not make refunds through interbank operations.

About the train ticket cancellations and refunds

  • ‘Imachupicchu’ will only cancel train tickets purchased on our web platform.
  • Train ticket cancellations proceed at the request of the client to the email info@imachupicchu.com within a period of not less than 3 days before the travel date.
  • To make the cancellation, the tourist must send a copy or digital image of their passport or identity document.
  • The refund of the cancellation will be made within a maximum period of up to 3 days before the date of entry to Machu Picchu recorded on the ticket.
  • Sending money may take a few days, depending on the policies for sending money through: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club or PayPal.
  • Last minute cancellations are not accepted.
  • The cancellation of train tickets have a unique penalty:
    • Penalty of 40% of the value of the ticket (refund of 60%).
  • The refund will be made through the same payment method with which the money was sent by the Client.
  • Cancellations of modified train tickets are not accepted.

  • In case the Client does not have travel insurance, Ticket Machu Picchu will consider requests for cancellations due to emergency reasons on a case-by-case basis.

  • ‘Imachupicchu’ will only make cancellations of the private transport service purchased on our web platform.
  • The cancellations of this service proceed at the request of the Client by means of an email to info@imachupicchu.com within a period of not less than 3 days before the travel date.
  • The cancellation refund will be made within a maximum period of 48 hours before the travel date. The refund will be made using the same payment method that the visitor used for payment.
  • Money transfer may take a few days, depending on Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club or PayPal money transfer policies.
  • Last minute cancellations are not accepted.

Confidentiality of information

  • ‘Imachupicchu’ ensures the confidentiality of the data entered by the Client at the time of making his reservation, of the data provided in the payment transaction and of the documents sent to our email. These will be used solely and exclusively for the acquisition of our services.

Release of Liability

  • ‘Imachupicchu’ is not responsible if the veracity of the data provided by the Client is not the same as the passport, DNI or University Card.
  • ‘Imachupicchu’ is not responsible for problems with the train service, transport bus services and transfer buses to the Inca city, whether due to delays, mechanical damage, cancellations due to weather or other reasons. The companies that provide this service are responsible for it.
  • ‘Imachupicchu’ has no control over climatological events, natural disasters or social conflicts that could prevent his arrival to the Inca city of Machu Picchu.
  • In case the Client has been affected by any of these fortuitous events, ‘Imachupicchu’ will only refund the amount of the value of the commission that we charge. The base price of our services must be assumed and reimbursed by the entity responsible for them.
  • ‘Imachupicchu’ is not responsible for the deterioration, partial or total loss of your luggage.
  • ‘Imachupicchu’ is not responsible for the transit of the Client within the archaeological sites of Machu Picchu.
  • The Client who cannot make use of his tickets on the corresponding date and does not communicate in a timely manner or carry out any procedure, will lose all the right to the ticket, and no refund will be granted by ‘Imachupicchu’.
