All entrances to Machu Picchu
In total there are four types of entrances to Machu Picchu which are:

Discounts on entrance to Machu Picchu

The college student discount
The university student discount is available to undergraduate students under 25 years of age who have a valid university card issued by the official authority of their country. Students of master’s degrees, doctorates or postgraduate degrees do not have access to the discount. Only undergraduate students are accepted. High school students can also access this discount if they have a university card. In Peru, for example, students from institutes authorized by the authorities have a university card. The university card that I need
The university card is the official one granted by the highest authority in education in your country. Reservations are not allowed with: ISIC student card, library card, registration receipt, university card with credit or debit card, etc.
These are the requirements that your university card must meet:
- PVC material card.
- Show the name of the university or institute.
- Show names and surnames legibly.
- Legally display the student’s photo.
- Show legibly the expiration date (current card).
The purchase of the ticket with university discount
The purchase of the entrance ticket to Machu Picchu can be made through the official site: www.machupicchu.gob.pe. In this case it is only necessary to register the data as a university student. Prices already include discounts. Another option is to make the purchase in the city of Cusco at the authorized offices: calle Garcilaso s/n, Cusco and calle Maruri 324. The ticket can also be purchased at the authorized office of the town of Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo).
