How can I get to the Machu Picchu mountain?
To reach the top of the Machu Picchu mountain, you must walk approximately 2 kilometers. The route is through Inca roads made of stone and with slopes of 30 degrees on average. The hike to the top takes 2 hours or more, depending on the visitor’s rate of ascent.
The route begins inside Machu Picchu, in the sector near the Guardian House. To access the mountain it is necessary to buy the ‘Machupicchu with Mountain’ ticket. Once at the top, the way back is the same as the way up, only going down.
