Inca Rail trains
Inca Rail is one of the only two companies that operate the famous trip by train to Machu Picchu.
Inca Rail trains depart from their stations in the city of Cusco or in the town of Ollantaytambo. It also offers the departure of private buses to the Ollantaytambo station (Bimodal service). This last station is the one with the most daily departures.
Inca Rail offers up to seven service options to Machu Picchu: The Voyager, The Voyager Premium, The Voyager Premium & Lounge, The 360º, The First Class and The Private.
In addition, Inca Rail offers tours to Cusco and Machu Picchu. At the time of making the purchase online, the tourist can optionally add the services of: transfer, bus ticket, tour guide and entrance to Machu Picchu.
The Voyager Service
The Voyager train is the cheapest Inca Rail service. It has spacious wagons with capacity for 42 tourists. Each car has comfortable seats, large anti-UV side windows, folding tables made of wood fiber and a beautiful decoration with Andean motifs.
The Voyager service offers ambient music, information of interest about the trip to Machu Picchu, courtesy hot or cold drinks (suspended during the pandemic) as well as service staff on board. The train also offers restrooms, luggage space and a first aid kit.
The train departs from the stations of San Pedro (city of Cusco) and Ollantaytambo. It is also included in the Bimodal service (bus + train).

The Voyager Premium Service
The Voyager Premium train is a new Inca Rail service that adds panoramic lateral and upper windows, wider and more comfortable seats as well as highly personalized assistance on board to the classic The Voyager train journey.
The train also includes background music, informative audio messages on the journey as well as complimentary hot and cold drinks (suspended due to pandemic).
The Voyager Premium service, because it has larger cars with capacity for 42 passengers, is ideal for tourists in wheelchairs.
In addition, the train offers a much faster and safer boarding process. The stations available are Cusco and Ollantaytambo. You can also choose the Bimodal service (bus + train).

The Voyager Premium & Lounge Service
The Voyager Premium Lounge train is an innovative Inca Rail service that allows you to enjoy a comfortable and safe trip to Machu Picchu and, along the way, enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the Sacred Valley of the Incas from the observatory balcony.
This service stands out for its ‘observatory lounge bar’ car where tourists can enjoy the panoramic windows in super comfortable seats. In said car there is a balcony from where you can appreciate the landscapes and get the dream photo of the trip.
The train also offers background music throughout the journey, panoramic windows, even wider seats as well as preferential boarding.
The train leaves from the stations of Cusco and Ollantaytambo. It is also included in the Bimodal service (bus + train). Prices vary from 60 to 80 dollars per visitor. The schedules are on the Inca Rail website.
The 360º Service
The 360º service is one of the most requested trains by tourists traveling with Inca Rail to Machu Picchu. This train is characterized by its side and top panoramic windows that resemble a 360-degree view.
The train has comfortable and spacious seats. In addition to its panoramic windows, it offers drop-down tables, USB-type cell phone connectors and an innovative Wi-Fi entertainment system.
The service also offers a selection of complimentary hot and cold drinks. The trains depart from the stations of Cusco and Ollantaytambo. It is also included in the Bimodal service (bus + train). Rates vary according to times and dates. In general, they range from 70 to 90 US dollars per passenger.

The First Class Service
‘The First Class’ service is an exclusive Inca Rail train that offers a glamorous journey to Machu Picchu.
The train cars ‘The First Class’ are made up of an observatory-bar car with a balcony, a car with comfortable seats and dining tables. The train includes a welcome cocktail, a gourmet menu made with Cusco ingredients, a selection of courtesy hot and cold drinks, tasting of types of pisco, pisco sour preparation classes, live music, the ticket for the famous final bus trip to Machu Picchu and all inside a finely decorated car.
The First Class train departures are from Cusco to Ollantaytambo. There is also Bimodal service (bus + train) of this service. The price varies depending on the date and time you choose. On average these range from 300 to 400 dollars per tourist.

The Private Service
The service ‘The Private’ is the most luxurious train that Inca Rail offers on the trip to Machu Picchu. The train is dedicated exclusively to a tourist and his group of companions (no more than 8 people).
The train offers an observatory car with a balcony, a car with comfortable seats as well as a dining space where you can enjoy the landscapes of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Of course, the train has a sophisticated decoration.
The services offered by The Private train are: welcome champagne, gourmet menu, cooking classes, exclusive bar with premium brands, live music show, as well as a private bus to Machu Picchu. The trains depart from the station in the city of Cusco.
The train operates only at the request of the tourist by email. Prices are also consulted privately through Inca Rail.
Bimodal Service
The Bimodal service is an exclusive Inca Rail offer that adds a private bus transfer to the Ollantaytambo station to the classic train trip.
Buses depart all year round at the El Sol avenue station in the city of Cusco. The trip is in a modern and clean air-conditioned bus with large windows to appreciate the landscapes of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
After approximately 1 hour 40 minutes, you arrive at the Ollantaytambo station where tourists board their train. In the case of the return trip, the stop is made in Ollantaytambo where the bus to the city of Cusco is boarded.
The Bimodal service includes all Inca Rail train services: The Voyager, The Voyager Premium, The Voyager Premium & Lounge, The 360º and The First Class.
