How’s the weather?
Machu Picchu has a temperate climate with temperatures that vary according to the time of year. There are two seasons in the region. The first is the rainy season, which runs from November to April. The rains are especially intense in January, February and March. At this time of year temperatures vary from a minimum of 17ºC. up to a maximum of 22ºC.
The second season is the dry season, which runs from May to October. On these days the days are sunniest and the nights are coldest. Temperatures vary from a minimum of 5ºC. and a maximum of 24ºC. In those months the rains are less frequent so the geography becomes drier.
